Tournament Schedule - Autumn / Winter 2009

These fun tournaments are designed as an introduction to competitive tennis and will count towards Mini Tennis / Junior Tennis ratings. All events will include warm up games & exercises and tips on how to play in competition.

Closing date is 4 days prior to tournament

Entry Fee for all events is £5.00

Certificates for all and Medals for WINNERS

About the Events / Tournaments....

Under 12/ 14 / 16 events — Players must be under the age as of 1st Jan

Mini Red is for children born in 2001 or later

Mini Orange is for Players born in 2000 & 2001 playing orange ball

Mini Green is for  Players born in 1999 only playing green ball

Player ratings

The format for each event will be such that the matches will count towards Mini Tennis / LTA ratings with the exception of parent & child events.  Players should be members of British Tennis, this is FREE for Club members and you can sign up at www.lta.org.uk.  Information on ratings is also available from this website.

Under 14 Road To Wimbledon Tournament.

This U14 event takes place between March and May each year and is open to U14 junior from the Clubs of Normandy, Pirbright and Worplesdon.  It is a best of three set knockout tournament with the overall winner going on to play in the County Finals in June.  The winner of the County Finals then goes on to play the National Finals at Wimbledon.
